Advanced Placement (AP) Credit

Turn your AP exam scores into NIU credit! We accept scores of 3 or higher on AP exams. Simply have your official scores sent to NIU from College Board.

NIU accepts credit from College Level Examination Program (CLEP) tests in many subject areas.

NIU recognizes the rigor of the IB program. Submit your IB transcript to receive credit for Higher Level exams with scores of 4 or higher.

State Seal of Biliteracy

Earn up to eight credits of foreign language at NIU with your State Seal of Biliteracy! Must be claimed within three years of high school graduation.
